Happiness Is

A 4 year old girl in full hockey gear. Go Mariah!!

Watching little kids play hockey today was probably the most entertainment I've had since Midget Wrestlemania. They have got to be the bravest kids I've ever seen because they have to know that once they take a swing at the puck, they're going down and they're going down hard. Obviously hockey games for kids this age aren't meant to stress rules or strategy. They're played merely to strengthen skating and maneuvering skills. The goalies were the most self-sacrifing of all. They'd literally toss themselves on the ice to make sure the other team did not score. If it looks like your opponent is going to reach the puck faster, simply fall face first and slide until you reach it. When one player falls, it's guaranteed that at least two or three more are going to eat ice chips. It doesn't necessarily mean they were skating near each other. Now that is teamwork. I love it!
